Did you run out of gas?  Are the injectors dirty?  Are the spark plugs
needing to be replaced?  How's the air filter?

(You mentioned 3 of the 4 things you need... well, 2.5 out of 3,
really.  Fuel/air, compression, spark.  Air might be clogged so it's
not getting enough, or your injectors could be fouled, or you might
not be getting a hot enough spark, or the ignition timing might be way
off, or your fuel filter might be clogged so not enough fuel is
getting to the engine -- what's your fuel pressure?)

I'm sure there's other things that it could be, but I can't think of
what they would be right now?
