Hey everybody,

Wanted to put out the word that it's time for us to start looking for a new
home and list-master(s) for the Vanagon list. The list has been around for
about 10 years, and I have been hosting and managing it for about 1/2 of
that time. While I have had a lot of fun and made a lot of friends during
this time, I think it's time for somebody else to take over the duties.

My decision to seek a new home for Gerry is partly based on financial
constraints. Back in the late '90's, companies were more than happy to pick
up my business-class DSL bill ($220/mo) to keep me as their employee. But
times have changed, and I have been covering that out of my pocket for
several years now. Couple that up with my declining paycheck since the
dot-com bust, I just can't commit myself to renewing my DSL contract when it
comes due in August.

I also have more and more demands on my personal time, which make it hard
for me to manage the list as it should be.

If you have the ability and/or interest in hosting, and/or managing the
server, please let me know off-list. I'll consult with some of the "list
elders" and ask them to help me decide where to go from here.
