Thanks everyone for all your help. I found an Audiovox wire in style at circuit city. Works just as listies said it will Ipod sounds perfect with no static or changing the channels as it locks out 89.1 when turned on which is a college channel here but the AM/FM is lacking a little even when the fm modulator is turned off. I would highly recommend this to people who can't used the wireless Fm Modulators and it's only $30 and took about a 1/2 hour to install but I am going to try this one below Donald recommended for the house so I can put the ipod on random inside and use my crappy am/fm working on the bus radio to jam out. Thanks Again Kevin 87 Westy Burlington VT

I use the FM transmitter at home and in the car that CCrane and Co. sells on their website (also available through the NPR Shop). I like this device so much that I own three of them now--one for my upstairs computer, one for the basement computer, and one for the office--made by Sangean:

I can't say enough good things about this little piece of equipment. I do most of my radio listening over the internet and this allows me to broadcast up to 150 feet away reliably. I can listen to Randi Rhodes and Al Franken streaming on the internet while mowing the lawn. It works very well in the car although it could be a problem in densely populated urban areas where there's not much blank space on the FM band. The PLL transmitter broadcasts in increments from 88.3 to 107.9.
