I've thought about this (actually have bought the materials but haven't

otherwise started the project).

What about mounting a magnetically-attached curtain to the open hatch (magnet strips), and have whatever kind of flooring you want. You'd have to carefully cut the curtain to fit, and hem it probably, but it seems to me that you could weight the bottom (or even stake it at the corners) and have a nice room for a shower. You'd have to have a flap to prevent getting the rear mattress wet. If your seams were managed well enough, heat from the camper could get to the shower. You'd be able to get between the shower stall and the camper by pushing aside the aforementioned flap, so you wouldn't have to go outside to get to the shower.

Might not be a bad spot for the portapotty, either.

This scheme does not address the issue of wastewater runoff, because I

assumed (for myself) that if public baths were available, we would use

them, and if not, no one would be around to care about the runoff. I didn't consider trying to live in it. If it really was a problem, the old standard of taking a shower/bath in a bucket (or a kid's pool) would allow you to capture the water and deal with it later, even reversing the shower pump since you won't be drinking out of the system.
