One of the great breakthroughs in our efforts to improve our common environment has been the cat. converter. My '87 Vanagon runs vastly cleaner than my old '70 bus, so much so that I would feel a bit irresponsible if I went back to one of those old smoke pipes, and I'm a "conservative republican" !
