Here you go, it's a Behr 87c (stock) Made in Germany bought from one of our favority list vendors. It caused a big PITA and I will always check new one's on the stove (westy stove that is as the girl friend was not impressed by boing in it in a good pot in the kitchen :) Cheers Kevin

How about telling us the brand of thermostat that was so far out of spec even though new?

Did you get it from a VW dealer?
