Subject: Vanagon motor mounts chirping?
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=US-ASCII; format=flowed

For a long time now (and I guess I'm just used to it) I have had a slight but consistent chirping (think: baby chickens) noise coming from the engine compartment. I assume it to be an engine mount, because i only hear it when the engine is running less than smoothly. When accelerating on a smooth roadway, it does not occur.

Question is, is this common? I have never been in any other Vanagon, so I personally don't know. Also, is this something that can be fixed easily. I searched the archives, but saw nothing describing this problem.

Thanks in advance.
