hey all, my extremely loud fridge fan will not shut itslef off. is it possible that the tstat is bad? i reached my hand thru the opening on left side of fridge cabinet and could touch the fins, they are not that hot. the exhaust pipe yes, but the cooling fins, no. the weather here is moderate, maybe 90's in the day and 60' at night. the fan just runs, so i disconnected it. i ordered a replacement fan from gowesty that is supposed to be quiter. i am wondering if my tstat is also bad which is why the fan will not shut itself off. what else could it be? when i had the fridge out recently it looks like someone ahd played with these wires before, so maybe something is a miss there.
