My mechanic purged my system of r-12 and filled it with R-134. He is getting very high pressure readings and recommends changing the receiver and expansion valve. How hard is this to do at home for a mechanically adept person? I can't afford too much of his labor, but really want my AC working. It's an an 89 Westy by the way. I have the back board with the grill out behind the AC unit. Can the expansion valve be replaced from there or do more cabinet pieces have to come down. Any help with this project would be greatly appreciated. You know how teenagers get after a few hundred miles without air conditioning don't you?

Thanks Roger Van Till '89 Westy "The Moose Lounge"
