Ron -

I agree with your points about changes to the Westy, but on #5, I have some information

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

5) Too bad they didn't offer a front child's cot for the Vanagon Westy as they did for the Bus. This would have allowed it to sleep 4-1/2 instead of 4. :-)

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

My first Westy was a Canadian 83.5, early production waterboxer with the smaller clutch plate. It was purchased by an officer in the Canadian army in Ontario, and immediately shipped with his household effects to Germany for a tour of duty. He had all of the German stamps and notes in his maintenance log.

While he was there he bought several accessories, including a childs cot to go over the front seats. The cot had disappeared by the time I bought it, but the four clips were still on the door posts.

Someplace I have the Westfalia catalog that he brought back. I should look and see if they have a part number for the kit.

By the way, I am really enjoying the Westy dish set I bought from you. The dishes are thin, but seem to be sturdy, and I like having the cheerful little buses running around the rims.

If you can ever get a set of drinking glasses like that, it would be a nice addition.

We are getting ready for a WetWesties hot spring tour in North Idaho next month, and they will look great at the potluck.
