Yeah, that's the one, all right. My dad remembered it when I mentioned the name. Really is a shame they don't make 'em anymore. There are a few similar devices designed for aircraft and boating applications, but they all use a NMEA GPS input to monitor vehicle speed and (of course) don't have a cruise control function. I've found a device used for racing engine telemetry but that's certainly overkill for my needs. I may have to build one myself...
