No. The AFM resistance strip test is notoriously difficult to interpret. If the resistance is *changing* as you move the air vane then chances are it's OK. At some point you may want to open up the AFM and reposition the board holding the resistance strip (the most common problem is that the strip actually "wears out" somewhere along the pickup track) but if the van was running the AFM is most likely not the problem.

Yes. It's attached to the throttle valve.

The cold start valve has 2 wires leading to it, one white, one orange, but they should be covered by the sheath of the FI harness.
