The ETKA is wrong! You can know this for 100% certain because it lists the brackets for Right or Left. However if you actually put in them in the upside-down position that it suggests in it's picture you would have to swap them from one side to the other (in other words they would change from right to left and vice versa). In my 8 years of working on Vanagons I have never seen anyone install the brackets in the way that the ETKA suggests either. Although it would be easier to drop the muffler and cat that way (hummm....)
