I have to agree with you John.  I thought maybe I misread Bud's post, but
now that I've read it a few times, I'm pretty uncomfortable with his
response.

Ever been held at gunpoint by two guys with guys with rifles, Bud?  I have!
Ever have Mexican Federales take 6 hours to go through your bus?  I have!
Ever travelled to a different country, even ONLY Canada, and just want some
"local's" information about a particular subject?  And know of a damn good
source to get honest and varied responses?  Well, that's how this thread
started and I don't think there was anything wrong with them asking the
original question.

Relating your experiences in a non-sarcastic and confrontational tone would
have sufficed to answer their question in my opinion.  I've travelled to all
50 states, Canada, Mexico and as far south as Belize and would love have
known of a source as good as this before each trip to ask a somewhat simple
question and get good responses!
