Actually, you'll need a smaller pulley on the compressor to increase speed.

Robert, running r134b I am asking the same question? Larger pulley and bigger belt perhaps? regards gary Date: Thu, 5 Aug 2004 13:38:55 -0700 From: Robert Lilley <RClilleyjr@COX.NET> Subject: Is there a better Upgraded compressor for the 88 up 2.1L? Will be doing some A/C work in the near future and was wondering if there is a better/larger capacity than a stock replacement compressor that will fit in the stock location and bolt in to the same hoses? Or is a new compressor better made than the 16 year old original compressor?
