This is dedicated to those who quiver at the thought of driving their Vanagon beyond the state lines: 1300 miles with a trailer in the mountains and nothing broke. I was pulling a 300 lbs trailer behind my '84 Westy the whole way and didn't see any smoke. Lots of camping, steep climbs, and wonderful sights over 5 days. I passed lots of Chevys, Fords, and even a Honda, or three, on the highways. My tools in the trailer and the knowledge in my head were my insurance policy - enough said. Life is great.
