There was a web page made about a couple that went on a trip in a vanagon and had a horrible time. It was written to be sort of humorous. Stories about the various trials the Vanagon put them through. Finally the trip ended when they rolled the van coming down a mountain road in the snow. There were some nice after pictures of the rolled van. The roof was completely caved in, in the front, especially on the passenger side. It was quite puzzling because the door frame was still mostly in it's original shape, all the way around the window. I looked back through the photos, and saw that they were carrying a big cargo box of some sort in the luggage rack. When the van rolled, this was pushed down into the passenger area. Something to consider when you decide what to carry up there. Edward |
