ehh- my Vanagon came with a Masonite board screwed down to the floor both on top of the engine and on the passenger floor so VW has - kinda .... And after I swapped the VBX for the Volvo engine and had a 7 inch engine lid raise I made a new floor out of ½ inch plywood and got myself a nice toolbox all way around :-) It also reduced the sound level of the engine a bit so I guesss that could be considered as success - or ??
