Brian, Hmm, if they tax us by the miles we drive, then we would be taxed the same as a fuel sipping hybrid for a 50 mile trip, not 3 times as much because we used 3x more gas. Sounds like it might be to our advantage for use based taxation. Not that I am advocating the system without reading more about it, but just saying that it doesn't seem to adversely impact Vanagons relative to other current passenger type vehicles.
