Hi Chris, Behind the fuse pannel in the drivers footwell there is 1 or 2 ground wheels clean all those connections and then do the same at each bulb and put that marine grease (for submersable trailers) on each bulb and clean out the lenses and I bet you will notice a huge difference. You can also google "Terry K Vanagon" he sells the brighter bulbs but I know on my 80 & 81 vanagons it was because of poor grounds and crapy connections at the bulbs. Good Luck Kevin

What sources do we have for getting those brighter tail and parking light bulbs to replace the very dim stock lights.

If it makes a diff, I have an 81 westy.

On a recent trip a friend followed and said you could hardly see me from the back.

Id like to brighten all but the liscence plate light, no need to make it easier to report me for going too slow. ;p
