I have a 1987 Vanagon Westfalia GL and the engine sometimes dies when it is not completely warmed up. It will not start for about 30 second and then poof the problem goes away. It does not happen after the first 15 minutes or so of driving.

Do I have a strain of the dreaded vanagon syndrome? Any diagnosis? I am wondering if this is part of a larger electrical problem. The turn signals once stopped working for a day and then magically came back. I recently bought this thing so I am still tracking things down.
