Subject: Re-time after replacing temp2 Sensor and coolant???
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="US-ASCII"

Hi folks, First, I have an '87 2.1L van. My temp gage has been acting flakey for a while now. I replaced the coolant, thermostat, and while I was at it, replaced the tempII sensor. Now van won't idle, it's very rough. Stalls like its not getting any gas, any RPM below 2000 is very rough, I almost got stranded.

The engine stalled while I was reving it up approx. 2,000RPM to replace the coolant. From then on, it keeps stalling.

Do I need to re-time the motor due to the new temp II sensor? Maybe a bed temp II sensor?

Any suggestions?

Thanks,

-Ed
