Subject: 85 Shifting probs (venting)
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="us-ascii"

I just did a 120 mile round trip and at about mile 35 had the worst experience with the shifter yet.You guys know the problem.."where's 1st?, oh crap, why is it grinding!?!?!?"

I've been through the archives of how to properly adjust the shift linkage on the 4 spd manual and have not yet endeavored to do it.I ordered the recommended parts from Bus Depot and they have not yet arrived.Just wanted to vent .it was quite an experience, I am at the point of no return and won't be driving until I get this condition fixed.lucky most of the trip was lonely country backroads.

As a side note, I need to buy the shop manual on this one.anyone know the best place? I saw it somewhere for like 65 bucks..

Dave
