Mike,

I will be surprised if more than a few drops of water gets in. Before my flue cover disintegrated from UV due to exposure to the sun I always keep the flue covered. Since the demise of the cover nearly 10 years ago I have never cover the flue even in the rainny Pacific NW winter. The design of the intake and exhaust ports in behind the stainless vent make it very difficult for water to get in. I wash the van all the time with it totally exposed and never have problem lighting the fridge.

Should your fridge becomes hard to ignite on gas run it in AC for a few hours. This will dry out the combustion chamber and the moisture in the flue.

It was only /after/ I ran the Westy through the car wash that I

A) discovered the flue cover under the rear seat, and

B) read about covering the flue in the Owner's Manual.

So . . . is are the refrigerator works flooded or something? Do I need to drain anything?
