I also have been looking all over town for a good heater foam replacement. I finally end up at a Craft Store and they had something called "fun foam" which MAY work. it is very dense, but thin.

I just finished a search of the archives ("heater foam" from january 2002 to present) and found that the best post suggested Home Depot something called "a roll of Aluminium Backed Adhesive Foam". I'll look for it tomorrow. see: http://gerry.vanagon.com/cgi-bin/wa.exe?A2=ind0404A&L=vanagon&P=R2011

Good luck. I'l post if I find something that works. Malcolm
