Sometime in the next few weeks gerry (the server that runs the Vanagon
list) is going to be moving to a new home.  When that happens, there
will be no vanagon@gerry.vanagon.com list for a week or so.  This is
not the first time that this has happened and we have a contingency
plan in place.

To continue to experience all the trials and joys of the vanagon list
you'll need to subscribe to the 'spare' list at Yahoogroups. The quick
and easy way is to click on the following
<http://autos.groups.yahoo.com/group/vanagon/join> and follow the
prompts.  You'll need a Yahoo! id. Read carefully and you'll avoid any
'unsolicited advertising'  that may be offered. All Yahoo's directed
advertising is opt-out, so make sure you uncheck stuff before agreeing
to anything.

Anyway...  the spare list will keep you in touch with the Vanagon
community and is where any notices regarding the progress of the move
will be posted.

I have this list set to 'restricted' membership, so I have to approve
membership requests. This keeps the spambots out...  most of the time.
