Good answers. So here is my next question, I have access to a lift, and to a transmission jack with a fuel tank adapter. I am planning on driving the tank to near empty, then removing the screw. It appears as though there are two straps holding the tank in place, each strap pivots at the rear and is secured by a fastener at the front. It would APPEAR that I should be able to remove the fasteners while the van is lifted, and lower (pivot) the tank and straps down enough to get to the hole. How much slack is there on the top fittings when pivoting the tank down? Will it drop enough to get to the front top of the tank? Jerry |
