Donald, My previous post wasn't really directed any anyone in particular, just the situation on ebay. Sounds like you're trying to work with the seller to find a common ground - much better than most others. We bought our westy from a person in GA -- over 2 days away -- and before we committed were very nervous about not being about to test drive it before hand. Seller was real nice, however and we agreed on a very small deposit to hold the van and if we did not want/like it after we got down there he'd keep the deposit and I'd go home. Suffice to say, the van was exactly how he described it and it's been a member of the family since. john > Actually, I offered to purchase the van if the seller had enough faith > in it to drive it to Iowa City from Chicago (around 3 1/2 hour drive). > I offered to pay for the express bus ticket back. As it stands, the > silence from the seller has been deafening. |
