John, it seems the obvious solution here is to obtain a nice used, early Vanagon seat and mount it to the wheel-base of your current, uncomfortable office chair. Then you won't have to do your annual 1040 forms on your Vanagon dashboard. If you really like the result, I suppose you could get four more seats on eBay and make a complete dining-room set, perhaps with matching Westy curtains …
