I think these style gauges are getting really old fashion. In the 1986 VW GTI the clock was turned into a mutli- display, with just a bit of electronics. This was factory!! It could display the outside temp. the engine temp. the time, the MPG, all with the few small bottoms. Problem was no one knew about this.
