Jean-Pierre, the plate must first be removed from  the armrest by driving out
the spring pin.  Then attach the plate back to  the seat side with the two
screws using loctite on the threads.  Then  reattach the arm rest with the
spring pin.  It's a bit tricky getting the  holes lined up while trying to inset
the pin but it can be done.  I just  did a few of them last week.  Those two
screws are always coming  loose.  Using loctite on the screw threads is the
secret to keeping them in  place.
