If you live or drive in North Seattle, primarily Ballard, U. District, Roosevelt area, or out in West Seattle, you'll get Tennis Elbow waving all the time. Both Buses and Vanagons, mostly campers of one sort or another, and a fair number of Eruovan Campers. Two reasons: lots of camping and travel spots within a couple of hours of Seattle, lot of outdoor oriented people choose to live here. Second, the largest volume dealer in the US of VW campers (pre Eurovan) is in Ballard, Carter VW.
