Subject: Re: testing the oil pressure light system?

matthew:

warning light should turn on during cranking to start.

light should then go off once engine starts and oil pressure goes up.

turning engine off and then momentarily turning key back to on position (but with engine still off) should cause the light to come back on (because oil pressure is zero).

that is the basic test.
