Tim,

I understand completely. That's one of the main reasons I do not drive any of my Westy's on a daily basis. I find that my neck starts to hurt after a while due to slouching.

Cheers,

Jeff

Hey all --

I wanna remove the driver's swivel base in my westy and just mount the seat on the factory rails. I thought I could just pull out the bolted on part of the swivel and slide the seat in, but the welds for the swivel bottom are obscuring the tracks. It looks like I can just cut/grind the swivel base out of here (better be sure this is what I want!), but I want to know if anyone has done this and made it work. I don't want to complete the grinder work and find out for some reason that it would never have fit anyway!

I know some of you swivel-coveters will find this idea shocking, but I'm tall and am tired of my head brushing the roof. That extra shy-inch or so will come in handy. The other bonus is it gets me an accessible place to mount an amp!

Thanks

Tim in Seattle 87 Syncro Westy/Suby 2.5

PS -- I'm keeping the swivel in case I ever change my mind, ie, it's not for sale ;-)
