I can't remember the exact models but is the 808x series. I still have a
couple of this family including one in the Vanagon. These were the last
that were made in Japan with very high quality remote with nice weather
proof gasket. The remotes can be programmed for multi-vehicle operation
by plugging in a EEPROM ID chip taken out from the "brain". I still have
the original remote and the battery last forever.
The one I have in the Miata has a proximity sensor good for convertible.
When I check Alpline recently they only have 1 or 2 low end models. Gone
are all the modular sensors and pager.

but yeah a pager alarm is readily available at your local car stereo
shop.
If you live in the Seattle area I would recommend Stereo Warehouse and
ask
