         On my '85, it's screwed into the top of the coolant expansion
tank... that's the tank you *can't* see from the license plate hatch.


         Get that Bentley, it's required reading, and will pay for itself
the first time you *don't* need to pay a mechanic.


         Good luck, IMAO, you've bought the *very best* year for the
Vanagon. :-)
