Subject: a poor running in the rain story
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii

last fall I was getting very bad mileage when it was raining, like a 50% drop. I looked over everything and it all seemed good, except one thing - the twenty year old boots covering the fuel injector wire connections were about shot on the left hand side. (The right side ones are far less exposed to the elements). I took off the last few crumbling pieces of the boots and taped up the wire with electrical tape, covering the whole plastic connector to the point where the wire emerged from the harness. Problem solved.
