Subject: on the road again (was jammed fuel pump)
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="us-ascii"

Well, if anybody cares I did fix the fuel pump issue. I really couldn't fork out $200 beans for a new one, but found a used one at a scrap yard; it set me back $85 and included a new left front headlight assembly. I took the used pump and pumped some parts cleaner fluid through it to make sure I didn't have any gunk, then I put it on with all new hoses, and added a pre-filter, just a cheapie steel duetch inline fuel filter. I also put a new main fuel filter on too. The van starts and runs perfect. After filling the old pump with parts cleaner I was able to get it spinning again, so I hooked it up and let it pump parts cleaner till it was flowing clear, then cleaned it all off, and threw it under the back seat for a spare.

Thanks to all that helped

Jerry
