Hi Jeff, If you noticed I was mentioning how VW failed with the Vanagon here in the good old USA. I never mentioned any foreign country where any made in America product wasn't imported or used. Please take a moment and scroll through my total posting again to grasp the whole thought, not just a portion of it as you forwarded back in your message. And more than likely this contributes to the immediate problem as I mentioned in the note I contributed. If Germany had access to full sized Van, products from GM, Ford, and Dodge, VW probably wouldn't have had to produce an encore run of Vanagon's for the tradesmen over there. They wouldn't have cared or wanted any more of the high maintenance vehicles. ( nor would they have spent the initial deutschmarks for the over priced smaller cargo vans either) I am upset VW won't or refuses to service a product they advertised, and sold, made a profit on , and then tells the folks that bought them in so many words" Your the fool that bought it, too bad, go away" This doesn't happen with any made in USA vehicle. Any dealer or smaller independent shop, anywhere will accept and will work on any made in the USA vehicle regardless of what shape, size, model, or year it may be, without an argument, hurt feelings, and duress on the person that owns it. I'm Apologize you missed some of the immediate thought in my posting.

RC
