Craig,

I had the same issue. I finally ended up renting a transmission jack for $11. It made it much easier for a one man job. Don't know where you are located, but check with an equipment rental place (ie. Ace Hardware...). Commercial transmission jacks are low profile and have a screw adjustment to control the angle of the transmission. Use one driveshaft bolt on each side to connect to the jack to the tranny. Make sure the tranny is fairly far forward on the jack, while still being stable. If your supporting the engine with a floor jack or something else, you can lower it slightly to allow the engine to angle down just a bit. Raise the transmission, then adjust the angle using a ratchet to allow the bellhousing to get to the bottom two mounting bolts. Slide forward and then flatten out the angle and the rear mount will come into position. Raise the tranny a little more and bolt it in.
