Hey Folks,

I am replacing the catalytic convertor on my dads '84 passenger vanagon. How do I orient it (I never saw the original). There is a heat shield, which I expect is oriented toward the body, and there is a threaded spot that gets plugged, presumably for an o2 sensor, so I suspect that is oriented so that it is upstream.

Is this correct?

Thanks,

Bob H.
