Subject: name of strange plastic fittings feeding coolant pipes to
              radiiator
Content-Type: text/plain; format=flowed

Hi, I just put jb weld on the specialized plastic fitting that feeds two coolant pipes attached to the front of my 86 vanagon. It comes off the front ot the engine, and is just above the right rear axle and cv joint. It leads to the large coolant pipe going to the front (I presume the radiator) and it has a smaller hose comming out of the top (that may go to the rear heat exchanger). That is the one that has cracked. Anyone out there know what it is called, and the best place to get a replacement?

the VW dealer in Juneau is useless in supplying help on these items. They don't even carry oil filters for my 86 most of the time. Thanks, Jeff Juneau, AK
