Kids? How presumptuous. I would assume that since I have receipts from the VW dealer, who made repairs to the fuel tank, that it is not illegal here. As a matter of fact, they sell special epoxy putty in the auto parts stores for doing such repairs. I am quite aware of my mechanical abilities, and I have no disillusions that I am some sort of master mechanic, I think I can handle the fuel tank. I am Happy to have helped with your amusement. Enjoy yourself. Jerry

KIDS!!! It is illegal in most states to repair a fuel tank. Go buy a new tank. Stereo stuff gets expensive, doen't it! I see stuff like this all the time. As long as its not my vehciles, I get a big kick out of, how anyone thinks they can be a mechanic! Eric
