I'm letting the community know about this because it affects us all .

I purchased this item : West Marine: Solar Powervent 3000 http://www.westmarine.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?productId =13737

It was described as "Working great" by the seller, Vanagon Man vgonman@MSN.COM AKA Adam Puzerewski. I paid $100 expecting a usable solar fan. However it is nearly totally worn out, the plastic is sunrotted and the fan is unbalanced and the motor shaft is very loose. I would be stupid to chop a hole in my roof to install this although admittedly I was already stupid to buy it. I'm going to try to get a replacement motor and fan for it to cut my losses since the seller refuses to take it back and refund my $100. So you see, for a mere $50 more I could have gotten a new one.

The upshot is, be very careful when buying from anyone on this list, some people use it as a way to dump worn out items on unsuspecting subscribers.
