Subject: aftermarket cruise (rostra) to VW stalk switch
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1"

So, I'm getting ready to tackle the install of my Rostra Global Cruise (electronic, no vacuum). I sourced a Jetta turn stalk with a cruise switch that I hope to tie it all into. (FYI, the jetta stalk fits the vanagon just fine, though it's a little short. Will be perfect when I get my smaller diameter 944 steering wheel on)

Has by chance, anyone done this with a rostra unit? I think the audiovox is the same as well as some others. I can probably bumble through hooking up the VW switch to the rostra harness, but if anyone happens to know what wires colors on the VW switch mate to the Rostra, that would save me the bumbling (that I can use on other bumbling projects). Also, does anyone know if the VW switch is normally open or normal closed?

Wires from jetta switch are red, blue, black and white. Wires for switch from Rostra are red, brown, dark green and yellow.

That's about it. Bentley isn't much help because the diagram from switch just shows how works with the VW control unit (which I don't have).

Thanks much
