Mark, I am happy to see that it worked out well. You are very welcome! So it was as we thought! What was a neglected unwanted vw in somebody's drive way just needed some TLC and "varoom" yer back on the road. It just goes to show you the power of the vanagon spirit, the vanagon list, and its members. When I heard about the van through another one of my buddies, Dave, who heard about it from his mechanic, I immediately thought of your e/mails about your burned van. How you were now, looking for anybody who may have a project, and it was perfect timing.

I think many of us cringe at the thought of our beloved vanagons going up in flames, again sorry for your loss there. The work you put into rebuilding the engine (twice) in your 86 certainly deserves some good "kar-ma".

I am sure the little 82 diesel appreciates your efforts to get her back on the road and in service where she belongs, hauling this and that. Nothing hurts a vanagon more than sitting unwanted and broken. Get em' on the road and in service.

Be sure and take a pic once you get er all cleaned up and spiffed out with those new curtains, shades on, music playin, rolling down the road.

Cheers.

Doug
