Doug,
We spent a couple of delightful nights recently at Orrs Island Campground at Orrs Island, ME. Its a family run campground w/about 35 spots, 11 miles south of Brusnwick. 207-833-5595. Its right on the water, nice and quiet. You can go to LLBeans (go early evening to avoid the scores of yuppies....I remember a long time ago when LL Bean was the only thing in Freeport...beside Dearing's Ice Cream and the Mobil station next door). Also, if you don't mind waiting in line...got to Reds in Wiscassett and get the world's best Lobster Roll! Their onion rings aren't bad either!
