Oh okay, if we're going that route! I must shamelessly plug Rappahannock
Coffee Roasters, 2141 Columbia Park, Arlington VA. They also roast their
own, and they are super nice folks, and their food is pretty good too.
Today is Friday, yes?
Wait, wait, I actually have a request. I really am a bit of a coffee snob
and I'm also a serious coffee house snob. I love hanging out in them and
working, and I get tons of work done that way too.
If you know of good coffee houses pretty much anywhere, I'd be interested to
know about them - OFF LINE, please! No need to bother everyone any more
with this. My idea of "good coffee houses" includes:
- excellent coffee. Doesn't have to be roasted in-house, though of course
that always helps.
- no smoking allowed - a requirement for me.
- electric outlets for plugging in computers
- reasonably quiet - no loud music
- hanging out is welcomed and encouraged - nice atmosphere
- places where strangers talk to each other are always fun too.
I'd really like to hear from you offline if you can recommend places in your
neck of the woods. I'm probably heading from Virginia to Utah shortly
(alas, Nova Scotia looks like the wrong direction at the moment) so anything
approximately on that route would be great. Also in Salt Lake City and in
Las Vegas.
No doubt within a week I'll be asking for info on mechanics for the same
route. But for now let's hope it's just coffee I need!
