Not to be a stinker...but...
If it were maintained by a VW only shop...wouldn't they have put the
right antifreeze in it?
What IS right anyway? The stuff I just got from Bus Depot (which I don't
have enough of, and paid a lot for only 2 1.5L jugs) IS RED....
I will try to sort that out on Monday....

For all who wrote, it is "the green stuff" which doesn't say all that
much to me other than the fact that its not the exotic blue vw
coolant. I haven't seen all that much coolant, but all of it has been
neon green. I know this topic has been done to death, but if anyone
has a strong opinion on easily available wbx-safe coolant, feel free
to pipe up.
As far as general maintenance, I feel pretty good about the shape of
the vehicle. Its been regularly maintained at a vw-only shop, and I
had it independently inspected at another vw-only shop. Fluid and
filter changes will come soon, but the rest of the systems are in good
repair and have been maintained over the life of the vehicle.
Plus I'm totally broke right now.
