Au contraire coffee lover - it is not only the bean, but the brew method which creates that perfect caffeinated concoction. The unsurpassed pleasure of sitting in the Westy enjoying another fabulous New Mexico sunrise/sunset is made complete by the sipping of the exquisite dark brew. A Bialetti camping espresso maker combined with the finely ground Sumatra bean is it. With all the talk of coffee systems , the heart of the matter shouldn't be the brew method but the brand or variety of bean used to start the day.
My wife and I are both coffee lovers but differ in our favorites. I prefer Trader Joe's Finca Leone estate coffee brewed strong ( 5 scoops for 6 cups ). She goes for 8 o'clock Bocar blend brewed weak ( 3 scoops for 6 cups ). I know this is not pertinent vanagon content but when your sitting in the westy, sipping the first drips while enjoying the view wherever you are. That's what seperates this group from the pile.
